Strengthening stewardship at Artemis...

Artemis Investment Management LLP is delighted to announce that Antonia Stirling has joined the firm as Co-Head of Stewardship.

She reports to Peter Saacke, Artemis’ CIO. Antonia comes from Standard Life Aberdeen plc, where from 2010 she was Head of Corporate Stewardship. Before that, Antonia spent five years at Deloitte, where she became ACA qualified. She holds a MA in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford.

Commenting, Artemis’ Senior Partner, Mark Murray, said: “Very rightly, stewardship in general, and ESG issues in particular, are increasingly important aspects of investment management. I am delighted that we have been able to attract someone of Antonia’s calibre to strengthen and develop Artemis’ overarching strategy on stewardship; work with our investment teams to help embed ESG considerations in their investment processes; and improve the communication of our stewardship activities to our clients.”
Antonia added: “I am very pleased to have joined Artemis. Its reputation as an active investment manager speaks for itself. In developing its ESG and stewardship activities, I will be working with Inez Oliver*, my Co-Head, and other teams to build on what Artemis has already begun. Artemis is committed to fulfilling its responsibilities as an investor, as an employer and towards wider society.”
