The managers of the Artemis Global Income Fund seek to grow both income and capital over a five year period by investing worldwide in companies that pay out profits as dividends. They look for firms around the world that they believe will generate strong profits and grow their dividends over time.
However, the value of any investment, and any income from it, can rise and fall with movements in stockmarkets, currencies and interest rates. This could mean investors may not get back the amount they originally invested.
- Dividend focused approach: the portfolio typically contains around 60-80 company shares from around the world, selected from a universe of over 8,000 shares. The managers look for companies they believe can keep growing their dividends.
- Medium to large companies: The managers invest primarily in a mix of lesser-known medium-sized companies (typically those valued at £500 million and above) and lower-volatility ‘mega’ (extra-large) companies. This results in a portfolio of companies that is different to most other global equity funds.
- Flexibility: the managers have the flexibility to adapt the fund when conditions in the market change.
- Designed to complement UK holdings: the fund is intended to sit alongside rather than replace investors’ existing UK income investments.
- ESG integration: the fund integrates ESG factors; for more information, visit Integrating investment and stewardship
