About this fund

Following the same strategy as the established Artemis US Extended Alpha Fund (a UK-registered OEIC), this Luxembourg-domiciled SICAV combines a traditional long portfolio of US stocks with a number of short positions. This long/short structure allows managers Adrian Brass, James Dudgeon and William Warren to use his stock-picking skills to profit from falling, as well as rising, share prices. The net exposure (longs minus shorts) to companies typically lie in the range of +85% to +110% depending on market conditions, by investing in 50-70 long positions and 60-80 short positions.

  • Flexible approach: managers Adrian Brass, James Dudgeon and William Warren take a flexible, pragmatic approach to stock-picking, adapting the fund's investment style with the goal of outperforming the index across the economic and market cycle.
  • Macro aware: rigorous macro analysis looks to understand the cyclical and secular (long-term) trends that are shaping the US economy, identifying areas benefiting from supportive thematic trends as well as those for whom conditions are less favourable.
  • Strong risk awareness: ‘up/down’ analysis is part of the investment process and seeks to identify companies that offer an attractive risk profile across a range of scenarios. Each one of the fund’s positions displays an asymmetric risk profile, its upside potential significantly outweighing its downside risks.
  • A respected US equity team: the Artemis US equity fund managers have many years of experience. They have built a reputation for their pragmatic investment approach.
  • ESG integration: the fund integrates ESG factors; for more information, visit Integrating investment and stewardship

The fund promotes environmental and social characteristics, as defined by Article 8 of the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR)
