About this fund

The Artemis Monthly Distribution Fund gives investors access to the income-generating potential of both bonds and shares.

Global markets contain a wealth of company shares that pay out profits in the form of dividends. Bonds can also generate a regular and stable income through interest payments. Blending the two may offer some of the capital and income growth potential of shares along with the greater predictability of the income generated by bonds. The fund aims to generate a regular income for investors using interest payments and dividends from its investments.

It should be noted that the value of the fund’s holdings and the income from them may fall as well as rise with movements in stockmarkets, currencies and interest rates. Investing in bonds carries the additional risk that the issuer may default on its regular payments or not pay back the initial value of the bond at the end of the payment term. This could mean investors may not get back the amount they originally invested. The frequency and level of income payments made by the fund is not guaranteed.

  • Monthly income: designed for investors who want a regular income from their investments.
  • Company dividends: within the shares component of the fund, the focus is on looking for quality companies worldwide with robust financial footings to fund future dividend payments.
  • Bond income: the managers determine what they believe to be the optimal allocation between different types of government and company bonds. They analyse a bond issuer’s ability to repay its debts, looking for those that they believe offer the best value given the level of risk involved.
  • Experienced managers: jointly managed by Jack Holmes and David Ennett from Artemis' bonds team and Jacob de Tusch-Lec and James Davidson of the Artemis Global Income Fund.
  • ESG integration: the fund integrates ESG factors; for more information, visit Integrating investment and stewardship
