Update to investment policies of certain Artemis funds – Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (“SFDR”)

We are updating the investment policies of sub-funds of Artemis Funds (Lux) to include details of negative screening (exclusions) and additional disclosures to comply with the SFDR requirements for Article 8 financial products.

Last updated 15 February 2022

We have updated the investment policies of the following sub-funds of Artemis Funds (Lux) to include details of negative screening (exclusions) and additional disclosures to comply with the SFDR requirements for Article 8 financial products:

  • Artemis Funds (Lux) – Global Select
  • Artemis Funds (Lux) – US Select
  • Artemis Funds (Lux) – US Smaller Companies
  • Artemis Funds (Lux) – Global High Yield Bond
  • Artemis Funds (Lux) – Short-Dated Global High Yield Bond

What has changed?

The investment policy of each sub-fund listed above has been updated to include detail on exclusions, representing certain sectors and business activities which are formally removed from the investable universe of each sub-fund.

Wording has been included in the Artemis Funds (Lux) prospectus stating that the sub-funds listed above will promote environmental or social characteristics within the meaning of Article 8 of SFDR. Details of how each sub-fund attains those characteristics will be disclosed in the sub-fund's investment policy.

The shareholder letters below show the updated investment policy section of the sub-funds.

Why has Artemis made these changes?

The changes are intended to clarify the way in which the sub-funds are managed. No changes were made to any of the key features of the sub-funds. None of the sub-funds’ portfolio holdings needed to be sold as a result of the exclusions, nor has there been any change in the sub-funds’ investment strategies and the operation and/or manner in which the sub-funds are managed.

When did the changes take place?

The changes came into effect on 15 February 2022.

How will investors be impacted by this change?

As explained above, there should be no impact on investors as a result of these changes and there will be no change to the way in which the sub-funds are managed.
