Changes to names of funds using the SmartGARP® investment process
The names of certain Artemis funds changed on 8 February 2021.

There are no changes to the way in which any of the funds are managed.
Why did Artemis change the fund names and what is SmartGARP?
As described in the circulate to investors dated 4 January 2021 (see below), Artemis believes that explicitly grouping the funds together by using “SmartGARP” in their names helps investors more readily identify those of our funds which are managed in a similar style with SmartGARP input.
The funds listed above are all managed with Artemis’ in-house ‘SmartGARP’ software tool, which screens the market to help the managers identify companies with the most attractive financial characteristics. The funds are, of course, actively managed – before investing, the managers undertake further detailed research to ensure that the investment rationale behind a SmartGARP recommendation is valid.
